Unsung Edibles is a collaboration with writer Rachel Pitts of The Fruitful Kitchen.
We share a deep love of the world, and a desire to learn and step outside of what is “normal”. Here this manifests as an exploration of some of the incredible vegetables and herbs of our planet!
These plants come with their own palette of purple, beige and many shades of green. They are accompanied by miniature ink drawings, which hint at the stories and history behind each ingredient. Yam Beans (jicama) sailed on a Spanish ship from Mexico to the Philippines, while choko leaves go by the fabulous name “dragon’s whiskers” in Taiwan…..
